Bringing worlds together, Sebra Cruz has unveiled his debut album ‘Don’t Worry Psy Happy’. The 11-track project has been released under Electronic act DJ Tennis’s imprint, Life & Death and is suffused with aspects of Ambient and Disco, two genres usually kept separate.

This blend comes as no surprise. After all, Sebra had no prior intention or direction in entering the production process, affording him the freedom to explore. Rather, he composed the work on the caffeine hit of inspiration alone. “I never decide what to do first,” he shared. “I simply follow my spur of the moment instinct. Releasing an album for Life & Death is cool because I’ve always had huge respect for Manfredi.”
The lead record, ‘Sunfish’, is as quirky as its name suggests. Giving the record its personality, a vocal sample breaks things up, keeping them loose and easy. Analogue-like synth chords set the stage for rapid-fire percussive rhythms, which add that crisp high-end, off-setting the mid-range frequencies, balancing out the record.
