THE ILLUSTRATED MAN unveils his debut album The Skin Of Time today on ILINX Records, following the momentum of his recent singles ‘Dance of Shadows‘ with Aquarius Heaven and ‘The Heart of Fire‘ featuring Robert Owens. Born in Yerevan and now based in Dubai, he has emerged as a distinctive new voice in electronic music, earning support from Adriatique, Bedouin, Township Rebellion, Richie Hawtin, and Joris Voorn, as well as airplay on BBC Radio 1 and Ibiza Global Radio. His productions unfold as layered sonic narratives, balancing tension and emotion with an undercurrent of mystery. Each track is crafted with intent, designed to resonate beyond the speakers and leave a physical imprint. In his live sets, that same energy translates into performances that pulse with movement and atmosphere.
The Skin Of Time spans eleven tracks, drawing from indie dance, melodic techno, and house to create an immersive sonic landscape. The album finds its own space, balancing expansive dancefloor energy with moments of introspection and detail. A highlight, ‘When Everything is Said’, sees THE ILLUSTRATED MAN and Sasha Carassi craft a sharp melodic house track, with Carassi laying atmospheric pads beneath crisp, driving percussion. Swedish vocalist and producer Jonatan Bäckelie delivers a commanding vocal that elevates the track from intricate instrumental to a fully realized song.
