Los Angeles-based triple threat BIIANCO has unveiled the acid-bass-riddled single ‘I Like To Listen To Music When I’m Sad’ via the record label Venice Music. The track preempts the artist’s forthcoming project, Mixtape #3 This Beat Is Gonna Eat Me Alive, which is set to go live on the 30th of June.

Boasting skills as a DJ, producer, and singer-songwriter, BIIANCO cuts across boundaries, creating music that cannot easily be defined. The artist’s latest track is a gritty, filthy, and hard-raving exhibition of its maker’s musical ethos. Thumping, textured, and self-juxtaposing, it marries two worlds, as the title suggests, being that of shattering breakbeats and explicit melancholy.

“‘I Like To Listen To Music When I’m Sad’ is the first non-collaborative dance track I’ve released to date — it’s also probably the most accurate personal soundtrack I have as an artist,” said BIIANCO. “I want people to listen to this song as they drive their cars under city lights soaked in melancholy and feel like they’re in a Guy Ritchie film and can take on the world.”
