Christian Löffler releases dreamy animated music video for ‘Like Water feat Monha’

Deep-house producer Christian Löffler has shared a video for ‘Like Water Ft Mohna.’ An amalgamation of his love for both music and art, the video was produced by Tjoff Koong Studios. The track is lifted from his highly anticipated upcoming album Graal (Prologue), due for release on the 5th of April via Löffler’s own imprint, Ki Records.

Hailing from Graal-Müritz, Germany, Christian Löffler has always been driven by a desire to be creative. Painting ever since he was a teen, he always strived to capture the essence of whatever he creates. Art doubles as a muse for the producer, and following an intense period of live concerts and touring, where his music felt stagnated Löffler would find himself solely focussed on visual art – painting, drawing, and “some video stuff”, but absolutely no music. His upcoming album, Graal (Prologue), is a transcendent journey born out of frustration and a sense that while touring, he no longer had the mental space or downtime to let his creativity flourish.

The animated video is a journey through winter landscapes, and even features an artwork by Löffler himself. Mohna’s tranquil vocals are the perfect vehicle to propitiate the atmospheric downtempo track, and both sound and visuals are tenderly executed, evocative and hypnotic.

Speaking of the track, Löffler comments “As a child, I was once pulled underwater by a wave so that I no longer knew where the ground was or the surface of the water. I thought I would drown. Then I made it to the surface intuitively and was overwhelmed by the power of nature and the thin thread on which our little life hangs. This story always comes to my mind when I am by the sea and in “Like Water”, this experience is kind of a positive metaphor. To connect with nature and not to fight against it…”
