A large part of Elektro Guzzi’s natural magnetism lies in their live performances, where you can truly see the techno-infused magic unfold. The Austrian trio are currently building towards the release of their latest LP, Triangle which will be made public on the 18th of March via Palazzo. Ahead of the LP, we’ve been treated to ‘Prototyp’ as well as ‘Okra’ – released today and already gaining international recognition having been premiered by DJMag Italy yesterday.
If their sound comes across as a little erratic at first, you’ll quickly understand it’s because there’s passion involved – both in the way the trio create music and the way they respond to it. The trio performs techno on traditional rock instruments (guitar, bass and drums), without the use of computers or live loopers and it’s easy to see why they were nominated for the Amadeus Austrian Music Award in the Electronic/Dance category.
