Hi Alex, how are you feeling as we enter this new year?
So far so good! Already lined up a lot of projects for the year and I am excited to be very busy this winter.
With 2025 underway, what inspires you creatively as you look ahead to the next chapter of your musical journey?
I’d say, I’ve already started 2025 feeling inspired by the direction that my music is going and the events that I’ve been involved in.
Having released your album ‘Dream Sequence’ last year, are there any follow-up projects or new music you’re excited to share with your fans?
Yes, definitely! We are actually finalising a whole list of remixers who are taking a track from the album and reinventing it with their own spin. The remix EP will most likely be coming out in March. And I’ve already started working on a bunch of new music that is more dancefloor-orientated.
What are your key goals for 2025, both in terms of music and personal growth?
This year is all about releasing on record labels, collaborating with artists, and diving deep into my creative roots.
Are you exploring any new production techniques or sounds in your work for this year?
I’m definitely more focused on creating dancefloor tunes and tracks that are more in the dancefloor-orientated sound.
Are there any collaborations or partnerships you’re particularly excited about pursuing in the coming months?
I’m really excited about the ensemble of artists that are involved in the remixes. I would happily collaborate or already have collaborated with a bunch of those artists and being able to see reinventions of my album into different genres is really exciting too.
How do you see your connection with your audience growing this year, whether through live sets, social media, or other channels?
I am definitely planning to hit more intimate social media content that will provide a closer glimpse of my life and even provide more of what my personality type is like in real life. I struggled for a little while trying to understand how to select my brand voice when this whole time my own voice is what sets that brand voice. I finally have a solid team of people who understand me and the vision and that will be portrayed in the content we are going to be putting out.
What do you hope 2025 will bring to the wider landscape of Electronic Music? Are there any trends emerging that you’re particularly excited about?
I certainly hope that Drum and Bass keeps rising in popularity in the United States. I am also hopeful that Trance will make a comeback in a different way that will engage the young generation. All in all, I believe that this year the people will reclaim more dance floor space and less social content trends. More than ever, we need an excuse to go out and let loose without lacking authenticity.
Finally, if you had to describe your vision for 2025 in one word, what would it be and why?
Dance music and collaboration. This is what I feel is the next evolution of my brand and the confidence I’m finding in the artistry that I am putting forward.
