Electronic collaborators Mia Mendi links up with TH;EN and Blake Light for their latest release ‘Lights Don’t Lie’, out now via Insomniac’s Interstellar Recordings. Landed on April 17th, the track brings together three distinct creative forces for a record that delivers both high-impact energy and emotional depth, tailored for mainstage environments.
For Mia Mendi, the release marks another step in an already strong collaborative run with TH;EN, following the success of their previous joint track ‘Fade Away’, which reached No. 1 on Beatport’s Melodic House & Techno chart and held its position for two consecutive weeks. The duo’s growing momentum has also seen support from key names across the scene, including Tiësto, Tale Of Us, Dom Dolla and Swedish House Mafia, alongside placements in major Spotify editorial playlists such as Electronic Rising, Beats to Think To and Open Air.
‘Lights Don’t Lie’ is built on big-room energy at its core, yet it avoids leaning purely into functionality. Instead, the track balances driving, club-ready pressure with a more emotive centrepiece, led by its vocal performance and evolving breakdown. Across the production, Mia Mendi’s detailed sound design meets TH;EN and Blake Light’s sharp, forward-facing approach, resulting in a record that lands just as well in high-energy DJ sets as it does in more cinematic, after-hours moments.
Speaking on the collaboration, Mia Mendi described the track as a natural progression of their shared studio chemistry. “‘Lights Don’t Lie’ came together naturally after we built strong creative chemistry with both TH;EN and Blake Light over the past year. It’s the first time the three of us have collaborated on a single record, and it felt like the right moment to bring our worlds together. We wanted to create something that hits on a mainstage level but still carries an emotional core – that moment in the breakdown where the vocal really locks you in, and then everything lifts. It’s a special one for us.”
With clear crossover appeal for fans of artists like Anyma, Adriatique and Massano, ‘Lights Don’t Lie’ positions itself firmly within the melodic techno space while pushing toward wider dancefloor reach.
