KARMACODA and E39 bring memories to life with new remix, ‘Time Flies (E39 Spring Ahead Mix)’

Last month, KARMACODA released an official remix of their record ‘Dare’ (read our feature), which was created by long-standing DJ and remixer E39. This time around, E39 has tackled another track from the often-remixed band’s most recent album, Lessons In Time. And today, we are sharing that remix ahead of its release this coming Friday.

‘Time Flies (E39 Spring Ahead Mix)’ is an upbeat, synthy, and steady dance remix that draws from an ‘80 sound palette to paint KARMACODA’s vocalist duet, Jess and Brett, in nostalgic hues. With the concept of the original song speaking to the memories of good times once had, the remix is a flashback to those very moments, and in them, listeners are given a sense of what Jess and Brett might have felt back then, placing us in their memories to witness the very moments that inspired the original track.

Here is what Jess had to say: “E39 has produced my favorite remixes for KARMACODA, so when he said ‘yes’ to remixing ‘Time Flies’ I told B, ‘we’ve got to jump at the chance!’ It is exactly what I hoped for. You will move, you’ll head bob, it’s a bop! So good.”
