With the release of their third album, Boilerism (out March 7, 2025), ECHT! puts an end to the long-debated question of whether their music is best suited for live performances or club settings. Fully embracing the raw energy of underground dance culture, the Belgian quartet fuses their signature live instrumentation with the pulsating rhythms of acid, drum & bass, footwork, and UK garage, crafting an album that bridges the gap between electronic music and the thrill of a packed dance floor.
From the hypnotic opener ‘Boilerbeek’ to high-octane tracks like ‘Klaas Rescue’ and ‘BK-hole’, Boilerism delivers relentless club energy while retaining the band’s love for intricate textures and dynamic shifts. The album culminates in ‘Penguin Alfred’, a closing track that seamlessly blends ambient soundscapes with breakbeats, showcasing ECHT!’s genre-defying creativity. With previous acclaim from Mixmag, DJ Mag, and BBC Radio 6 tastemakers like Gilles Peterson and Jamz Supernova, the band continues to push the boundaries of live electronic music.
Following a 14-country tour, including performances in Mexico and India, ECHT! is set to bring Boilerism to the UK for the first time at Brick Lane Jazz Festival on April 25, 2025. The album drops via Sdban Ultra on all streaming platforms and vinyl, promising an electrifying next chapter for the boundary-pushing group.
