Berlin Producer Ornery Drops Progressive-Leaning ‘Contours of Tomorrow’ on New Daydreaming Compilation

Out now on Daydreaming, Ornery‘s ‘Contours of Tomorrow’ anchors the label’s latest compilation Soundscapes & Emotions, Vol. II, released in late December 2025. The Berlin producer, DJ, and sound engineer, also half of the live techno project SPHR, brings his established progressive house approach to the forefront again, building on his earlier contribution to the first volume that year. Ornery has steadily gained ground in the melodic and driving side of the genre through consistent releases and DJ mixes that emphasize rhythm and atmosphere.

’Contours of Tomorrow‘ starts the compilation strong with deep, entrancing melodies, precise progressive builds, and quieter moments that invite repeated listens. The track reframes the label’s core sound, shifting toward future-facing outlines while holding onto the emotional pull and textural detail that defined its predecessor.

With tracks from artists like Burnside, Sahara, FVBLS, Strobetek, Inertia, Solstice, Diality, and others, Soundscapes & Emotions, Vol. II maintains a unified thread of mood-driven exploration and sonic depth. Daydreaming refines its identity with this release, spotlighting international voices committed to progressive house that rewards close attention and late-night playback.
