We catch up with the powerful duo, Castor & Pollux, fresh from their exhilarating experience at ADE (Amsterdam Dance Event). In this interview, they share their insights, highlights, and unforgettable moments from one of the electronic music industry’s most iconic gatherings. Join us as we dive into their ADE adventure this year and what that meant for them.

Hi Castor & Pollux, how are you both?

We’re doing great! Thanks for having us.

You guys attended ADE this year, can you tell us about your experience?

ADE is the best time of the year for us. It’s a chance to reconnect with friends from all over the world that you talk to on email, WhatsApp or social media, so coming back feels like home. This year was a lot of fun, as we got to go to a lot of parties and networking events, as well as, meeting up with new artists that we didn’t meet up with last year.

What was Amsterdam like? Can you tell us about the vibe of the city during ADE?

Amsterdam is something else during ADE. It’s a place you can explore your musical taste as there are so many great artists and great parties to attend, while you’re at the conference. The vibes are always strong during the entire week, and you can feel it when you walk the streets.

What did you enjoy most about your trip?

We really enjoyed meeting up with all the like-minded people you see during that whole week. When everyone shares the same passion, it’s very easy to connect with artists, so having the chance to do that throughout the entirety of ADE was the most enjoyable part.

Which live shows did you attend? Can you share which performances were particularly memorable?

We attended the Wall label night, Rave Culture, Martin Garrix and Revealed label night during ADE. The performances that were most memorable for us were W&W, during their label night, and of course Hardwell on Saturday at Revealed.

Did you go to ADE this year with any specific goals in mind?

We went this year with finding new artists to meet, as well as build up relationships with A&R’s that we speak to regularly on email. Going with the purpose of putting a face to an email is always important, and we accomplished that during our time there.

Can you tell us what it was like performing at ADE this year? How did you find the crowd?

Performing at ADE is always awesome, as it was our second year in a row performing. There’s nothing like the crowds in Amsterdam, and they’re very knowledgeable about the music which is something we love when performing.

Can you tell us your top three highlights from ADE this year?

1. Performing for the 2nd year in a row.

2. Meeting Hardwell and having him know who we are since we signed to his label Revealed Recordings.

3. Meeting A&R’s for labels we’re looking to keep signing with into 2024.

In which ways would you say attending ADE inspires you?

It inspires you by seeing all the other artists that are there. It really is about the music in Amsterdam so seeing the atmosphere and the preparation that goes into it as well as all the parties, it inspires us to come back to where we’re from and work hard on all of the music we have to give to the labels that we’re pushing for.

What’s next for Castor & Pollux?

We have a lot of new tracks coming out in 2024. We have a new collaboration that will be coming out in January and a lot others that we’re in the process of pitching now for the new year. We’re also working on shows here in the US, so we’re extremely excited to hit the ground running!

We thank Castor & Pollux for sharing their ADE experience with us, and we eagerly await their new releases and news, stay tuned for more updates from this talented duo as they continue to make waves in the electronic music scene.
